Terms of Service

Verfolia Placements is a cloud-based placement management platform that provides college placement cells with tools including a daily fresher job feed, AI-powered student-job matching, employer engagement tracking, and automated placement reports ("the Service").

Verfolia Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("Verfolia") grants your institution a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service during the active subscription period, subject to these Terms.

One administrative account is created per institution. The account holder may add team members (such as placement coordinators) within the limits of their subscription plan. Each user must maintain the confidentiality of their credentials.

You are responsible for all activity under your institution's account. Notify us immediately at melroy@verfolia.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

Your institution is responsible for:

• Obtaining appropriate consent from students before uploading their personal data to the platform
• Ensuring data entered into the platform is accurate and lawfully collected
• Complying with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
• Not uploading data belonging to students who have not consented to placement-related data processing
• Keeping your account credentials secure and not sharing them with external parties

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any purpose other than managing your institution's placement activities
• Share access with institutions other than your own
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or resell any part of the platform
• Scrape data from the job feed or any other part of the Service using automated tools
• Upload false, fabricated, or misleading student records
• Interfere with the platform's security or functionality

Verfolia reserves the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms without prior notice, with a full investigation conducted within 5 business days.

Verfolia Placements is offered on a subscription basis. Pricing, billing cycles, and plan details are agreed upon at the time of signup and confirmed in your subscription confirmation email.

Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. Verfolia will send a renewal reminder at least 7 days before the renewal date.

Payments are processed in Indian Rupees. Invoices are issued within 3 business days of each payment. GST is applied as per applicable rates.

Verfolia guarantees a 10% improvement in your institution's placement rate within 6 months of active use. Placement rate is defined as the percentage of eligible final-year students placed, compared to the same metric from the most recent complete academic year before subscribing.

To qualify, your institution must:

• Maintain an active subscription for at least 6 continuous months
• Have uploaded your complete student database within 30 days of subscribing
• Actively use the job feed, matching, and outreach features (a minimum of 5 employer outreaches per month via the platform)
• Provide accurate placement data for both the baseline year and the current year

If these conditions are met and placement rates have not improved by 10% or more, your institution is entitled to a full refund of all subscription fees paid. See the Refund Policy for claim procedures.

Your institution owns all student data, employer data, and placement records you upload or generate through the platform. Verfolia does not claim any ownership over that data.

Verfolia owns all rights to the platform itself — including the software, AI models, job feed technology, design, and brand. You receive a licence to use the platform but acquire no ownership in it.

You may export your data at any time from the dashboard. Upon account closure, all your data is deleted within 30 days.

Verfolia targets 99% uptime, excluding scheduled maintenance windows which will be announced at least 24 hours in advance. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted access and are not liable for outages caused by third-party infrastructure providers.

The daily job feed is refreshed every morning by 6 AM IST. Verfolia does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of third-party job listing data but will promptly remove listings reported as inaccurate.

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Verfolia's total liability for any claim arising under these Terms is limited to the total subscription fees paid by your institution in the 3 months preceding the claim.

Verfolia is not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of placements, missed opportunities, or reputational harm. The placement guarantee is the sole remedy for placement outcome underperformance.

Either party may terminate the subscription at any time. Your institution retains access until the end of the current billing period. Verfolia may terminate immediately for material breach of these Terms, with written notice.

On termination, you may export your data within 30 days. After 30 days, all data is permanently deleted.

We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
